Any Time, Any Place

Even at the fabric store!

Samuel wanted to have a piece of candy while we were at the fabric store but I told him he had already had a piece of candy today. I thought that was the end of the discussion. I went on to pay for my fabric and turned around to tell Samuel to get back on the stroller and saw him kneeling on the floor saying a prayer. I didn't hear the entire thing, but I think the main part of it consisted of him praying that he could have another piece of candy. I guess he knows he can pray anywhere, anytime. I had to chuckle.

A Picture of Me

Earlier today Samuel drew some pictures of our family. They were all really cute and I love to see his creative self come out in the pictures. Well, he showed me the picture that he drew of me and went on to explain everything in the picture.


He pointed to the ears and said "these are yours ears" and "these are yours eyes" (they are white, so they are a little hard to see). Then pointing to the brown circles just under my white eyes he said "these are the things what you feed George with - remember they have milk in them". I almost burst out laughing - but I didn't want him to feel bad. I chuckled to myself instead. So he may not be drawing things in the correct anatomical place, but hey he is including body parts other then the typical eyes, mouth, nose, etc. He wanted to have Jim take the picture to his work, but I think it needs to stay here. : )

Dinner Time Prayer

As we were getting ready to say a blessing on our food tonight:

Me: Samuel, would you like to say the prayer?

Samuel: um, okay. Can I sing it?

What do you expect from UofU alumni?

One of Jim's patient's gave him this BYU shirt (as a joke). Jim could hardly contain himself. I am sure the shirt will become dusty in the closet : )
