Mom and Me Art

Samuel and I have been attending a parent and child art class at The Center here in Provo. We have only had a few classes so far, but it has been fun and Samuel always looks forward to Tuesday and Thursday of each week. It is cute.

Today the teacher, Miss Jenn, helped Samuel make a bowl on the pottery wheel with clay. It was fun to see Samuel's reaction to touching the clay as it was spinning around. I think it might take some getting use to for him. He wasn't quite sure what to think about it, but he is excited to paint it after it is dried and baked in the kiln.

Watching him with the clay and pottery wheel made me want to take a class for myself. I will have to think more about that and check into it!

Happy Boys

This past week we went to Kangaroo Zoo in NSL for a cousin's birthday party. The boys really had a great time. Whoever thought up the idea of having a bunch of air filled slides, etc is a genius. It was pretty funny because almost every child there had red cheeks (from running around so much). It was fun. George even got in on a little bouncing action.

Yesterday I loaded the boys in the bike trailer (for the first time in a while) and took them for a short bike ride. George absolutely hated wearing his helmet. I think we are going to need to do it more often so that he gets use to wearing it - it is not an option not to wear it! Even though we didn't go too far, the boys and I were very hot. When we got home I filled up our little tiny pool and let the boys get wet for a bit. They had a blast.

And for anyone needing something to do this Saturday - come visit me and my sister at the Provo Farmer's Market. We will have a booth there with some of our goods. Come say Hi!

These Three Men

Have each influenced me in my life and I wanted to wish them all a very Happy Father's Day.

My dad has always been a good provider. He has always worked hard at his job to provide for his family. Many weeks he worked 6 out of 7 days. He has also always encouraged me to go after what I want to in life. I am greatful for him and the things he has taught me.


I am greatful for a wonderful Father-in-Law who taught my husband many things and helped mold the person that he is today. He is also a wonderful father.


Of course Jim is amazing and wonderful. He is such a great father to my two boys! I am so greatful that he is such a caring, loving, and fun dad. I love to see him and the boys playing together and laughing. Happy Father's Day to these great men in my life!

Fifty Percent Chance of Rain?

More like 100%!

Even though it rained a bit (or a lot!) and was really windy at some points, we had a good time at the craft fair in Payson. We did end up packing up early (around 11:00) but overall it was a good experience. We will definitely be doing the craft fair/boutique thing again. I think our next one will be the Provo Farmer's Market - maybe even a week from today.

This Saturday!

My very creative and awesome sister, sisters in law, and I are setting up a booth at the Payson High School South County Community Yard-Craft Sale, and we would love to see you there! We are selling the awesome products that we also advertise on our Etsy website plus even more.. There will be a large selection of bags not yet listed on our Etsy shop as well as flower hair clips, baby blankets, burp clothes, bean bags, jewelry, dollhouses, little girls dresses, and more!!

It's on SATURDAY JUNE 20TH from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, in the south parking lot of Payson High. It's free to get in, and the director of the sale says he has sold over 55 booths, and that it has been a wonderful event in the past! The weather is supposed to be very warm and sunny as well.

All Because Two People Fell In Love

Last Friday was a special day for our family. We celebrated Jim's parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. What a wonderful thing to celebrate! We reserved the church near their house, decorated, and had a wonderful dinner and program to honor them. Jim's sister Helen put together an AWESOME slide show presentation with pictures of everyone from birth to present day complete with music chosen by each family. It truly is a treasure. Jim's brother Brad shared a story about the Moss name as well. It was so great having almost everyone there to help celebrate.








To honor them I decided (last November) to put together a quilt of the entire family. There were 42 quilt blocks total. One to represent each person in the family, one with the St. George temple, one of the original Moss family and one representing the various titles of JR and Donna (grandma, mom, great grandma, etc.). I had so much fun putting this quilt together for them. I had some really neat experiences as the quilt was being assembled. Even though this present was made for them, I feel like I benefitted too. I am not sure how to explain it, but it was an amazing experience.

Jim also shared some thoughts as we presented the quilt to them. He basically talked about how when you drop a little pebble into the water it creates ripples that go on and on. I felt like this quilt kind of symbolized that idea. The middle blocks represented JR and Donna and then the ripples spread out from there. The many lives that have been created/affected because of their decision to be married. It was a great evening for all.







The next day we all got together and went to the movie, had a BBQ (in between the rain storms), saw a beautiful rainbow, played games, and just enjoyed each other. What a wonderful weekend! It really couldn't have been better.

All Aboard!

Grandpa Brookes pulled his trains (steam train and diesel train) out last week so the kids could take a little train ride.  I didn't get any pictures of his steam train.  It had been 12 years since he steamed it up.  

 Jacob, Loralie, and Adelae came and had train rides as well. It is always a good time with the train.
