More Jane and Hazel Pictures

September 16, 2011
Misty and I were able to get some pretty cute pictures of the girls.

I just love this one because it is like they are looking into each other's eyes and it seems like they have so much they want to say.

Happy Birthday To Me

September 14, 2011
I had a fun (35th) birthday this year. I spent the morning and some of the afternoon with my mom and sister. They baked me a delicious chocolate birthday cake (which I saved and had at night with my family). We had take out PF Changs for dinner (yum) and had cake and delicious sea salt caramel gelato.

George especially loved the cake

I was super excited to get a new cutting mat (for cutting fabric) from my parents (I needed this really bad -my old one was completely worn out), some new plates/dishes/glasses from Jim, the boys, and Jane - I love them!
And then Jim surprised me with a little speaker thingy so that I can listen to my ipod while I sew. It is so small and compact it fits in the palm of your hand.
What a great family I have!
Here is a short video of George blowing out my candles. He was so excited he didn't even give me a chance to blow them out myself.

Jane's 4 Month Check Up

September 12, 2011

Jane is four months - holy cow! It has seriously gone by so fast. She is just such a sweetheart.
4 Month stats:
weight: 15 pounds 5 ounces
height: 24 5/8 inches
She is rolling over, lifting her head, pushing her legs (especially when she gets mad). She is really showing interest in our food when we eat. She is still sleeping through the night (what a blessing!)
We sure love you Jane!

Park With Cousins

August 29, 2011
George, Jane, and I decided to go to the park one morning and we stopped and picked up cousins Kenna and Evelyn. It was so cute to see the three of them running down the sidewalk. They had a great time at the park - they pretty much had the entire park to themselves. It is so fun having cousins live so close to us!

First Day of School

August 22, 2011
The summer went by way too fast. Samuel has been super excited about school starting - and starting first grade. I remember being nervous every year as school started and just expected that he would be too. But he was not a bit nervous (I guess that's a good thing). He seemed ready to conquer first grade! He is just growing up too fast.

He had a great first day. George was a little lost without Samuel home. All morning he kept asking me if it was time to pick up Samuel.

Piano

August 20, 2011
We finally bought a piano! Samuel is getting ready to start piano lessons and we thought it would be nice to have a real piano for him to learn on. It has been quite nice having it in our home. Jim has been brushing up on his piano playing skills. He is hoping to be the next Primary Pianist when he is released from being Bishop.

Mr. Potato Head Fun

August 16, 2011
Samuel had the great idea of making Mr. Potato Head into Mr. Bread Head (maybe he has watched Toy Story 3 a few times lately).

Who knew Mr. Potato Head could be so much fun?

Hogle Zoo

July 26, 2011
Our first trip to Hogle Zoo as a family.

Cedar Breaks

July 24, 2011
Jim had July 24th off of work so we decided to take a short little vacation down to Cedar City. It was really nice and relaxing. We watched a lot of movies, slept in, swam, and visited Cedar Breaks National Monument. It was a much needed vacation.
Cedar Breaks never gets old - we love the views and the beautiful scenery!

We just loved the fields of wild flowers so we had to stop and take a couple of pictures.

Stephanie's Last Day Here

July 19, 2011
We had such a great time having Stephanie here visiting. We never tire of having her here with us. She brought these Mickey Mouse shirts for the boys (among many other treasures)

Miscellaneous Pictures

July 18, 2011
Two boys who are growing up way too fast. Here they are modeling aprons that I made them.

George loves to play "coins" (Connect Four - without rules).

Sally, Stephanie, and I went to the Quilt Show, saw some amazing quilts and then had lunch at La Jolla Groves (delicious!).
