Begging For This?

Samuel was literally begging me to let him clean the toilet today. Alas I gave in. Funny how that reverse psychology works sometimes. He thought it was a real treat. I wonder how long that will last.

Bye-Bye Curls

George's hair was getting a tad long and I think it was starting to bug him (he was really grouchy this morning). So today was the day. My sister in law (Misty) agreed to help. I couldn't believe how much hair he had! I think he looks much older now. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. Regardless, I think he is cute!

Sand Dunes?

It seemed like we camped at the sand dunes with the piles of sand we came home with in our tent, on our clothes, in our hair, etc. But really we went camping at Yuba Lake this past weekend with my brother and sister and their families. It is a fun place to camp because you camp right on the beach. The temperature was amazing, not too hot and not too cold. The only problem was that it was SUPER windy, especially during the night. I was amazed that our tent did not blow away in the wind while we were sleeping (well, not really sleeping - I figured there would be little sleeping while camping with George who LOVES his bed and won't sleep anywhere else, but that is another story). On several occasions during the night I had to clean my teeth off (there is nothing worse than a little grit in your mouth - yuck) and try to brush my face and pillow off (didn't really work because the sand was literally everywhere). Even with the sand issues we had a good time.

Samuel was the first one to be out and about on Saturday morning. He could hardly wait to get outside of the tent and play in the water.

George had a blast in the sand and the water!

Proof that I was there too. See how windy it was!

Family Night

Last week we had family night here at our house with my mom and dad, brothers and sister and their families. My parents were on activity and they brought bags full of random things. Each family was given a bag and we were to create something with all of the items in the bag. The bags contained basically the same things. It was interesting to see what each family came up with. We all had a lot of fun creating with our family. Here are some of the creations:

Thanks mom and dad for a fun activity.

Advice

Today as I was driving home from church, Samuel asked me to help him with the words to a song that he learned in Primary today. I told him I didn't remember what the words were. His advice:

"Maybe next time you should turn on your ears mom!"

Ok. I thought it was pretty funny.

Meteor Shower

Call us crazy, but we woke Samuel up at 11PM and we all went outside, spread a blanket out, laid down, and looked up at the sky. The stars were absolutely beautiful and amazing. We even saw a few meteors.

THE Question

My conversation with Samuel this morning:

Samuel: How do you get another baby in your womb?

Me: Go ask your dad.

A Portrait of Jim

Yesterday Samuel was hard at work creating this masterpiece.

This is Jim with headphones on and his iPod in his hand. The curly things are springs (the ones that bounce) according to Samuel. I love his creations!
